Getting Started with Anthracite (and the wiki) !

First, Anthracite is a MacOSX-only application. Other ideas are a 'brewin, but that's where we're at right now, and we like the niche.

Second, you'll want to download the latest version from our website. We ask for a valid e-mail address, that's all, and we won't share your e-mail with anyone else. In exchange, you get a complimentary two-week trial with all features enabled.

The download is a standard disk image, you just need to copy the Anthracite icon to your applications folder and you're ready to run.

Then, you can choose one of several paths using the online documentation:

• Watch Movies of Basic Anthracite Processes in action

• Read the Anthracite Quick Start guide that walks you through each main aspect of the software

• Play with the Sample Documents included on the distribution disk, look in Goodies > Samples > Examples for example documents showing how to perform basic tasks you can use as building blocks for your own processes. Look in Goodies > Samples > Solutions for ready-to-run examples of complex and valuable internet information processing tasks, like converting data in SEC filings into RSS feeds.

To edit the wiki, you'll either need your own PBWiki account, or you'll need the Metafy site password, available by sending e-mail to pbwiki@metafy.com

Additionally, there are some pages available from PBWiki detailing what a wiki is, how to create and edit pages and what kinds of style formatting you can use.
